We hosted our annual Celebrate Waterloo Grant Recognition Event on Monday evening. This is one of our favorite nights of the year because it gives us an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the impactful work happening in our city!
We had so much fun bringing together neighbors and friends to enjoy appetizers and time for connection! Despite the potential of severe weather, we had a full room of people who love Waterloo!
The highlight of the evening was hearing each grant recipient share about their programs. For the first time, we showcased some of our grant recipients’ work with videos so attendees could enjoy firsthand the impact they are making in the community. You can watch these videos here!
We were honored to recognize the following ten organizations:
- Back 2 Basics – At Risk Diversion Intervention Program
- Boys and Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley – STAR Social Work Internships
- Cedar Valley Youth Sports Association – Access to Youth Sports
- Friends of the Family – Housing Retention Program
- Lutheran Services in Iowa – Black Hawk County Baby Safety Project
- Marching Against the Darkness – 2025 Programming
- Refugee and Immigrant Youth Organization (RIYO)Â – Youth Navigator Program
- University of Northern Iowa Foundation – Veggie Vouchers
- Waterloo Public Library – Discovery Table for Youth Department
- Waterloo Schools – History in our Hometown
It is a privilege to witness the power of your collective generosity and the deep commitment shared by our donors and nonprofit partners working together to make a difference in Waterloo. Thank you for celebrating with us!
