Alex James “A.J.” Seeley was raised in the Cedar Valley and dedicated 11 ½ years to the North Star Community Services’ Supported Community Living program. He worked diligently to bring out the best in his clients, and Alex was a light in the lives of many. Alex’s mom says, “Alex found his true calling when he began working with clients with a variety of special needs. He treated each one as an individual and encouraged them to be as independent as possible. This was not just a job for him. Alex developed a special connection with each one of his clients, and they were the joy of his life!”
After Alex passed away in 2023, the Alex J. Seeley Memorial Fund was established to benefit individuals with disabilities receiving support through North Star Community Services. The Fund is meant to continue his legacy of caring for people and having a positive impact on the lives of others.
Alex will always be remembered for his kind giving heart, contagious smile and laughter, and passion for what he was doing as his life’s work. Through the enduring legacy of the Alex J. Seeley Memorial Fund, his influence will continue to resonate, enriching the lives of those it supports.
