This scholarship supports post-secondary education of students who are first generation immigrant or Latino heritage. Eligible students are graduating from West High School, East High School, Expo High School, or Columbus High School, planning to attend a 2 or 4-year institution as a full or part-time student. They demonstrate positive engagement in volunteer service with a preference toward students participating in Waterloo Youth City Council, Student Senate (or other elected role), or pursuing a major or minor in Political Science or Non-Profit Management.
There are many strategic ways to maximize giving using your currently held assets. Gifts from your IRA, stock, corn/grain, or estate make a lasting impact in our community, not only today but for generations to come. If you have questions about other ways to give generously toward this Fund, contact Erin Tink, Executive Director, at erin.tink@wloocommunityfoundation.org.
