Windows on Waterloo Webinar – America 250 Field of Honor & WWII Heritage City

The public is invited to join the Waterloo Community Foundation on Wednesday, June 10 at 11 AM for a Windows on Waterloo webinar.

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, there are many reasons to celebrate the people and stories that have shaped our nation, including those here in Waterloo.

Join us for a special presentation highlighting the Field of Honor Black Hawk County, returning to downtown Waterloo July 3–5, 2026. Featuring 1,776 American flags, the display will honor veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and loved ones in a powerful tribute ahead of America’s semiquincentennial celebration.

The presentation will also celebrate Waterloo’s designation as an American World War II Heritage City, recognizing our community’s lasting contributions on the home front and in military service during World War II.

Community members may join this free online presentation by visiting https://wloocommunityfoundation.org/learning-opportunities/ or by contacting the Foundation’s Program Manager, Paige Price, at paige.price@wloocommunityfoundation.org.

Windows on Waterloo is a Zoom educational series offered by the Waterloo Community Foundation that brings the community together to learn about important issues affecting our city. It’s a place to spark conversations, share ideas, and explore solutions to create a brighter future for Waterloo. These presentations are free and open to the public.
