Saviour Missionary Baptist Church is taking steps to secure the future of affordable Christian education by contributing initial funds to a long-term endowment fund for Royal Legacy Christian Academy.
Royal Legacy Christian Academy is a dual-language school providing a Christ-centered educational option in the Cedar Valley. Their mission is to provide a safe, friendly and Christ-centered environment where students can grow spiritually and flourish academically. Since their opening in 2018, Royal Legacy has valued making Christian education affordable and accessible to families.
“Access to educational options for families is vital in every community. We believe that parents should be empowered to choose what educational model will best serve their children. For so long, public school has not been an option for families, but the only thing available due to financial barriers. Royal Legacy’s vision is to leave a legacy of faith, academic excellence and empowerment for children and families in the Cedar Valley,” says Chassidi Martin, Co-Founder and Chaplain of Royal Legacy Christian Academy.
In addition to offering Spanish immersion education to Kindergarten through 6th grade students, Royal Legacy Christian Academy extends its services to provide on-site childcare for toddlers ages 2.5-5 years and collaborates with House of Hope to offer infant care. They also provide after-school programming where students receive homework help, engage in activities, and learn the fundamentals of the Brazilian Martial art capoeira.
“Because of our holistic approach to education, our students are engaged in every way – physically, mentally and spiritually – which means more well-rounded and productive people in our community,” says Chassidi.
The establishment of the Royal Legacy Christian Academy Designated Fund ensures sustained support for the academy in perpetuity. “We are tremendously grateful for this endowment fund, as it lends to our longevity and sustainability as a school. Our supporters can give with confidence, knowing that their gift will be secure and utilized for the advancement of our mission,” says Chassidi.
